"Greyhound Racing tips for the UK are fine, but I need to monitor the results to keep track". They are not too difficult to find. Whether you want to find the outcome of the ones that you have been betting on, or you just want background information, here are links to useful dedicated sites.

Results and race cards are listed in the Racing Post. They have a really impressive coverage both in the printed newspaper (which you can usually find for free in your bookmakers shop) and in the online version. Initially the online support for the dogs was not so brilliant, but now it is a as comprehensive and professional as the printed version. I recommend that you go there and become familiar with the dogs section of the site if you have not already done so. You will find invaluable news and great blogs in the News section, but the real meat is in the Cards section, where you will find all the details you need to make your selection. If you wish, you can move over to the betting interface too. Sometimes, I worry about the future of the high street bookmaker!

You should have no trouble placing bets on dogs running in open events. Most of the BAGS meetings are well covered in the major bookmakers too, though the prices are generally not available until only a few minutes before the off, when the prices start moving on the track itself and are relayed back to the bookies. All of the major bookmakers will take bets either in the shop or by phone. However, you may need to keep your stakes below £100, so spread them around. You can get early prices on some of the major events.

Some events can now be watched or listened to live via the internet! What more could you want on a cold winter's day? A few sites are now offering live coverage via video and audio together with online betting facilities. However, you really need a fast computer and high speed link to the internet to enjoy this, otherwise you may find that it is a very clunky and frustrating experience.
